Great food!

I really wanted to like this place, and the server was incredibly nice, but this was the worst Japanese food I've had in a while. The miso soup was over sweet, too salty, basically unpalatable. The gyoza were greasy and too salty, did not seem recently made or perhaps rewarmed too many times. Terrible ramen soup. The tempura were ok as well as the chicken teriyaki. All four of us were sadly in agreement that we would never return. I think perhaps they just don't know better.

Some of the best ramen you'll ever eat.

IΓ’β¬β’ve been coming here since the mid-90s and still think it makes one of the best bowls of seafood udon (spicy!). My relatives from Asia always ask to visit Edokko whenever they visit Sacramento!

Still one of the best Donburi's in town

Sorry, when I saw NOODLE HOUSE I got excited. I was served miso ramen with generic top ramen "that you buy at the store, dehydrated" noodles. I was kinda shocked. When I commented that I would pay more for quality, the hostess/waitress said "It's hard to find authentic...." Really? Good food at a good price but it's not hard to find good noodles.

This place is always a comfort food type of place. It's a great little restaurant and I love it. They have the best using noodles which they get fresh!

Love the food with decent prices. My favorite dishes are the spicy tofu and sesame chicken! Customer service is awesome, with a greeting everytime you come it. The only thing is when ordering over the phone the pick up times can be long. Besides that if you live close by come say hello.

It's like eating at home for me. No hitone rolls here.

This restaurant was not busy to justify the ridiculously slow service! It. Was nearly 10 minutes before we received our cans of soda. The soup arrived 15 minutes later. Our dinner took approximately another 30 minutes to arrive. We ordered Sashimi and Tonkatsu for dinner. The Tonkatsu was served 7 minutes after the Sashimi arrived. They do to go orders. Those orders take priority before the customers in the dining room. Im guessing its great if you call for an order... Never again!!! Now I know to go to Taco Bell next door!!!!

Had not been there in 10 years...still the best Japanese food and restaurant in the Greenhaven/Pocket area.

Great place to dine in! It's been around for many many years and always delivered the same quality and consistency. The sesame chicken salad is my go to here!

Great selection, good food at a reasonable price.

This place has amazing food. I used to get the edokko don (katsu don with shrimp tempura on top) almost every time, until I discovered yakiniku (thinly sliced pork in an amazing miso and onion sauce). The gomoku katayakisoba is also excellent, as are many of the other dishes. Service can be quite slow (more than an hour lunch when you are trying to go fast) and there is very limited seeing, so I only ever order take out any more. Unfortunately, they are often wildly inaccurate on their estimates of when food will be ready, and have been known to wait until you show up to start cooking (or even check to see if they have the ingredients available). That said, I still love getting food here.

Wonderful Japanese diner. Small and cozy.

Great down home Japanese food. By that I mean, this is what you can find at any little eatery in Japan. I grew up in the area and remember when this joint opened. 4 years in Japan and now live up in WA. When I come "home", I always make a stop here! It's a little casual place doesn't put on airs because it doesn't need to. The food speaks for itself. Inexpensive, friendly and delicious! Local run and owned!

This place is so amazing Γ’Β€ï¸ it may take a while but that's because it's really cooked and not precooked like every where else. Always tastes fresh. Loved everything I had Everytime Special place.

Challenge ramen and tantan men are the best.

Unfortunately, We didn't get a chance to try the food. We walked in a 8 pm and was informed they were closing early tonight. If you advertise you are open until 9 pm, you should be. I expect they have all the customers they need.

This is the best Japanese restaurant and ramen restaurant in Sacramento since Futami closed. I won't go anywhere else.
Marco Guerrero
Very friendly staff and the food was delicious. At the moment they are doing renovations to the plaza where it's located in and there is no signage (just look for the neon noodle sign). Highly recommend the sesame chicken and the nigiri.

It has been 6yrs since I have been here. Food is still great. Love this place

They have good food, but it takes a really long time to get it. So either call ahead and place an order or prepare to wait a REALLY long time.

I lived in Tokyo for 18 months approximately 3 years ago.I was for a company assignment. I ate out almost every night.Clients would take me out eating in the Sacramento area. The area has the greatest good of all Tokyo and most expensive.Edokko Japanese Noodle is the closes of the restaurants in Sacramento. Exclusive selection of fishes. Excellent cutting skills.Feels like the old times in Tokyo. The greatest restaurant I've been to so far in the U.S.
